Arvo and Morten have got it. Enjoyed hearing the pieces by the wonderful artists. I needed that on a Friday afternoon. Thanks for your comments and insights.
It is a beautiful piece, it touches upon a challenging question of whether there is intrinsic meaning in art or whether art serves a purpose of expressing an artist's meaning. I think that both are possible.
Much like in Barthes' first and second level of signification, the author can intentionally use language, music, drawing, etc. to express a certain meaning of a higher order, the one that is "read between the lines". Then, art can become ideological, it becomes means to the end. This is Man's World.
On the other hand, language, music, geometry have an already embedded Law of harmony. Whether it is specific sequence of seven notes or the relations coded in the Pythagorean theorem, whether it is consonance or framing in poetry, these features of Universe can by themselves create beauty dipping in the Ultimate Creative Source. This is God's World.
Both can and will touch our emotions. Extremes will look/sound/feel superficial.
This explains the beauty in Piss Christ:
